Da erschien Lifeforce (1985) von Tobe Hooper bei uns gerade erst am 11.01.13 erneut auf DVD (siehe erstes hässliches Cover oben), schon kündigt sich in den USA für den 30.04.13 eine verlockende BD/DVD-Combo mit Kinofassung und Director’s Cut an (siehe zweites hässliches Cover oben).
Anbieter Shout Factory wird die Scheibe aber wohl mit ‘A’ codieren und auch keinen deutschen Ton dazupacken.

Interessante US-Releases im März 2013.
Eine schlimme Firma ist Twilight Time. Die sichern sich die Rechte an Kultfilmen wie Fright Night (1985), Die blaue Lagune, Besser geht’s nicht, Die tollkühnen Männer in ihren fliegenden Kisten oder jetzt Christine, um sie strikt
auf 3.000 kurz nach VÖ sehr teuer werdende Exemplare zu limitieren. Ich will Christine!.

‘Enter the Dragon: 40th Anniversary Ultimate Collector’s Edition’ Announced for Blu-ray
The Bruce Lee classic will be getting a re-mastered double dip this summer!In an early announcement to retailers, Warner Brothers is working on ‘Enter the Dragon: 40th Anniversary Ultimate Collector’s Edition’ for Blu-ray on June 11.
The film, which helped bring interest in the Asian martial arts genre to mainstream Western cinema, has been re-mastered for its 40th anniversary, and will now feature new bonus materials, such as the featurette, No Way as Way, on the legacy of Bruce Lee, plus other featurettes and commentary. Memorabilia — which includes collectible art cards, lenticular card and an embroidered patch –are also part of the giftset.Suggested list price for the Blu-ray set is $49.99.

The Incredible Melting Man
Der auf Sci-Fi- und Horror-Klassiker spezialisierte US-Anbieter Shout Factory
kündigt für den kommenden Sommer den Release des bei uns unter dem
haarsträubenden Titel Der Planet Saturn läßt schön grüßen bekannten
Klassikers aus dem Jahr 1977 an.
Allerdings versieht Shout Factory seine Titel oft mit Code A.
Columbia veröffentlichte den Film übrigens auch als Bluthitze: Das Grauen aus dem All auf VHS.
Übrigens: Wie auch immer der Film in Deutschland heißt, er ist weiterhin indiziert.
