La seconda stagione di "Lost" prosegue il viaggio appassionante dei sopravvissuti dell'incidente aereo, offrendo nuovi misteri, tensioni e rivelazioni. La trama si sviluppa ulteriormente, introducendo nuovi personaggi e approfondendo la storia di quelli già conosciuti. Le dinamiche tra i personaggi si evolvono, e il passato oscuro di ciascuno contribuisce agli intrecci della trama. La serie mantiene la sua abilità nel mantenere lo spettatore con il fiato sospeso, alternando momenti di suspense, azione e dramma. La regia continua a essere di alta qualità, sfruttando al meglio le atmosfere dell'isola e utilizzando sapientemente i flashback. La colonna sonora accentua l'atmosfera misteriosa e coinvolgente. In sintesi, la seconda stagione di "Lost" consolida la reputazione della serie come una delle più avvincenti e complesse della sua epoca.

Dopo qualche anno ho deciso di fare un re-watching di questa stupenda/discussa serie. Arrivato alla seconda stagione, l’atmosfera che si respira è ancora più tesa e intrigante della prima stagione, anche se per fortuna non mancano i momenti più rilassati dove vengono meglio approfondite le storie tra i personaggi.
I flashback, colonna portante della prima stagione, mantengono un livello qualitativo medio-alto, con alcuni più intensi di altri.
Le ambientazioni avranno un deciso miglioramento in questa stagione; infatti i nostri protagonisti troveranno sparse tra l’isola numerose stazioni della Dharma. L’idea del ritrovamento di queste stazioni risulta in questa stagione molto ben ideata, in quanto risultano essere tutte interessanti e misteriose.
Questa seconda stagione continua a giocare a carte coperte, come la prima, lasciando intravedere pochi indizi, confondendo lo spettatore.

Per quanto riguarda il contenuto tecnico, il video è veramente ben realizzato nella versione in alta definizione, con qualche grana nelle scene meno luminose ma che risulta piuttosto naturale. Mentre l'audio ha un buona traccia DTS 5.1 mentre la traccia inglese ha un ottimo DTS-HD.
Il cofanetto è semplice , con all'interno ben 7 bluray di cui uno interamente costituito da contenuti speciali della seconda stagione.

In conclusione, la seconda stagione di lost è una magnifica continuazione della prima, ricca di intrecci, atmosfera, e bei personaggi. Se la prima stagione vi è piaciuta, allora questa ha tutte le carte in regola per riuscire ad intrigarvi ancora di più.

La serie TV Lost e' una delle serie piu' famose e di successo degli ultimi anni.
Cercavo un cofanetto completo di tutte e 6 le stagioni, in lingua ITA/ENG e con sottotitoli ITA/ENG per fare un regalo a mia moglie che vuole rivedere la serie, gia vista su Sky, in lingua Inglese con i sottotitoli sempre nella stessa lingua, ma non ho trovato quello che cercavo.
Ho quindi preferito acquistare i cofanetti delle singole stagioni e fare un pacchetto del tutto.
Mia moglie e' stata felicissima di ricevere i cofanetti e, vedendoli insieme a lei, ho potuto verificare che non ci sono problemi di vusualizzazione, il video e' chiaro e senza lag, e sia il parlato nella lingua scelta, ENG che i sottotitoli, sempre in lingua Inglese, sono di facile e chiara comprensione.
Il cofanetto si presenta son la classica copertina della serie, dentro ci sono i DVD di tutti gli episodi della stagione indicata e alcuni contenuti speciali.
Siamo molto soddisfatti dell'acquisto.

Non dico nulla riguardo la trama perché Lost NON VA ASSOLUTAMENTE SPOILERATO, pena il mancato godimento di una trama sempre più fitta, sempre più incredibile e piena di colpi di scena. Dico semplicemente che è una gran serie; la seconda stagione alza il ritmo rispetto alla prima, che risulta a mio avviso un po' lenta. Il prodotto è certamente ottimo ed è una rarità nel mercato italiano: da noi le serie tv nel mercato home video non ricevono, secondo me, la giusta attenzione. Lost, invece, è un gran prodotto pieno di qualità in tutti i suoi aspetti, dai contenuti alla presenza di contenuti speciali, menu davvero ottimi, il "segnalibro" per riprendere esattamente da dove ci si è fermati (ed è possibile creare più profili semmai a casa doveste vedere la serie a ritmi diversi) e alla qualità dell'alta definizione, davvero buona. Consiglio il prodotto a tutti gli amanti dell'avventura, del thriller, delle serie tv ben fatte.

La seconda stagione non delude le attese create dopo la fine enigmatica e ricca di domande della prima. Succedono tante cose, conosciamo meglio i personaggi. C'è solo un accenno del difetto ("uno dei" diciamo) che emergerà in seguito: la tendenza a pirlonare per l'isola senza fare nulla di interessante. Un altro difetto è che qualche flashback è poco interessante (specie quelli dei personaggi già visti). Ma la stagione si impenna nella puntata 14 "Uno degli altri". Qui conosciamo uno dei più grandi bugiardi e manipolatori della storia della televisione : henry gale (e già il nome è una bugia!) interpretato da un magnifico Michael Emerson. Su di lui, sui suoi raggiri, si regge tutto l'interesse nello show da qui in poi, specie nel rapporto con l'"uomo di fede" John Locke.

Il giudizio sull'edizione bluray ricalca quanto scritto per la prima stagione: edizione nulla di che, manco un foglietto coi titoli delle puntate, dischi incastrati nella custodia alla "salvaspazio", extra già visti, audio e video non troppo in miglioramento rispetto all'edizione dvd (io ho l'edizione olandese senza l'italiano e quindi da questo punto di vista il passo avanti c'è). ma in rapporto al prezzo l'upgrade si può fare (e infatti l'ho fatto). ma solo perchè parliamo di Lost, fosse Carabinieri lo lascerei sullo scaffale.

Great (prior season spoilers)

As fans of the show know, the first season ended on a few different cliffhangers that set up the storylines of season two. The big one is what is in the hatch (which opened in the season finale). What is in the hatch is revealed and explained (at least partly) in the first few episodes. The second one is the attack on the raft and the kidnapping of Walt, which sets up the story arc of "The Others" who are a group of inhabitants of the islands who attack the crash survivors. We also learn that another group of crash survivors from the tail of the plane are on the island, and we see that their experience was much different from the "main" characters of season one. The show continues to reveal portions of the story (sometimes at a snail's pace) through flashbacks, both showing whom the characters were before crashing on the island, and revealing secrets of the island itself. The season again ends on a major cliffhanger leaving the fates of many characters in limbo.

The show again looks and sounds great on Blu-Ray, and the Blu-Rays have a ton of extras. Those include commentary tracks on five episodes, a bunch of behind-the-scenes footage, about twenty minutes of deleted scenes, a gag reel, and a "Lost Connections" chart, which shows how all of the characters on the island are inter-connected with each other (which sometimes stretches all logic in order to be clever).

Overall, the series continues to be very strong. It is well written and very well acted. The show has to balance a ton of characters (although the amount of characters is definitely in flux) and juggle a lot of storylines. New additions to the cast include Michelle Rodriguez, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Cynthia Watros, Michael Emerson, Henry Ian Cusick, and M. C. Gainey. Yunjin Kim and Danel Dae Kim are given a lot to work with this season with the development of their characters and really knock it out of the park. The show definitely leaves more questions open than it answers, which definitely irked many fans when it was on the air. But, I definitely think the pacing of the story was very well done and enough was revealed to keep viewers hooked and kept mysterious to keep people coming back.

"What's in the Hatch, Jack?"

This second season of Lost is when I got hooked on the show, as it focuses on the mystery of the island and introduces key elements to the series that would come into play heavily in the final few seasons. While the first season concentrated on the mystery of who the survivors were before the plane crash, this season turns its attention to the island itself, and the mysterious `Others' who seem to hidden within the jungle, waiting to strike out against our heroes from Oceanic 815.

The first episode continues straight on from the cliff-hanger finale of the previous Season - Jack, Locke and Kate head down into the bizarre hatch they found buried in the ground of the island, whilst Michael, Sawyer and Jin attempt to stay alive on the remains of their raft, blown up by the sinister group of Others who stole Michael's son, Walt. The first four episodes take place over the events of this chaotic night, and there is some play with the narrative structure, with overlapping stories which might annoy people as it feels like there is no real advancement at first.

The main threads for the season are Michael's hunt for his son, Walt, who remains captive, the discovery of a new group of survivors and whether Locke's faith in the island (specifically the contents of the hatch) is misplaced or not. As a whole, this season works really well although it did attract a lot of criticism at the time of broadcast for the change of pace from a character-driven show into a more science-fiction based drama. Some of the episodes are less vital than others and the flashback sequences begin to repeat character motifs that we already knew from the outset, such as Jack's `father issues'.

There are some answers to the mysteries that bugged viewers from the first season. We find out what happened to Claire during her abduction, during one of the more riveting flashbacks of the Season. We also learn what crime Kate committed to earn those handcuffs on the plane. Not all the mysteries about our Losties are answered, however, such as the cause of Locke's paralysis prior to the island.

I really enjoyed this season as I found the dynamic of the Losties vs. The Others to be more compelling this time around, with the introduction of more antagonists, and the slow drip-feeding of information. We also got introduced to some new cast members, as well as seeing some others get killed off, proving that the island is not a safe environment.

Key episodes include: The opening few episodes which introduce the state of play for the season and the new location for most of the action: The Swan Hatch. Another favourite is Episode 11 - `The Hunting Party', where a group of survivors are met by an opposing group of Others, and they have a tense conversation at gunpoint over just whose island this is, and what happens to those who become too curious. Episode 15 - "Maternity Leave", is an interesting glimpse into the events that happened during Claire's abduction and provides some answers. The lead-up to the finale is particularly satisfying, with a real action-movie feel, particularly the two-part finale, `Live Together, Die Alone' where all the key threads tie together, and leave us wondering what next.

The existing actors are all comfortable in their roles, and the additions to the ensemble are all pretty good, especially Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje imposing turn as the quiet, yet threatening `Mr. Eko' and Michael Emerson's `Henry Gale', who manages to teeter on the edge of innocence and sinister for the majority of the season, before revealing his true motives. Michelle Rodriguez plays her usual stock character of the butch tom-girl for the cop `Ana-Lucia', but does open up towards the end, showing a bit more depth to her character (and acting set!).

Overall, this is a great season and while it does have its lulls in the middle, it benefits from the box set treatment and not having to wait a whole week for a new episode. The themes of the Season seem to be about Faith, in particular highlighting the faith that Locke has, but Jack doesn't. Jack is the Man of Science, who refuses to believe in the fantastical elements of the island, whilst Locke is ready to accept the supernatural and believe. This season does a good job of weeding out the casual viewers by introducing certain elements to the storyline, which increase in complexity with each forthcoming season. If you find the sci-fi elements in this season to be off-putting, then it is unlikely you will enjoy the next four seasons as the focus moves further from the characters and deeper into these complex themes and ideas.
